For me, it maps very closely to what I did in dwarf therapist previously so the transition is nearly seamless. I think the labor interface with custom job details is 95% of the way there. It seems small but having that one little bubble hold just the completed work orders is so good for keeping track of what's going on. The announcement bubbles are a great touch (though I have still edited announcements to pause on migrants) and I definitely prefer it to the base announcements screen if for no other reason than it is categorized nicely and you can see at a glance if there's anything you need to look at without otherwise interrupting flow. Trading feels more balanced, and so you don't seem to get a rush of migrants until you're actually stable and generating wealth. ![]() The improvements I've found most pleasing are stair designation, zone designation, stockpile designation, and labor management. So far, the steam release is really nice. Not an expert by any means but I've been playing fortress mode for years. I'm not very good at this game but I really enjoy it.
